Ty Mam Duw's

Prayerbook

In the name of the Father
and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary,
full of grace
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed in the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be
world without end. Amen
In the morning

Offering the day to the Lord when we rise
Attributed to St Colette

Behold my God,
I come to do your will,
to work for your glory
and correspond to your love.

Jesus keep me this day in your love.

Jesus Mary and Joseph bless me
Francis Clare and Colette pray for me
that I may live this day without sin.
Amen

Every morning the sisters gather in the Shrine chapel of Our Lady of Fair Love to begin the day by invoking the Holy Spirit together and reading and sharing the daily Gospel.

On the Throne of the Word a missal is laid open at the gospel of the day; the first person to arrive in the Shrine lights the candle that is by it.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Glory and honour to the three Divine Persons in one essence. Amen

The Angelus

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.
(I renew my vow of holy chastity)
Hail Mary ...

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
Be it done unto me according to your word.
(I renew my vow of holy obedience)
Hail Mary ...

And the Word was made flesh.
And dwelt among us.
(I renew my vow of holy poverty and enclosure
Hail Mary ...

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray
Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord,
your grace into our hearts,
that we,
to whom the incarnation of Christ your Son
was made known by the message of an angel,
may, by his passion and cross,
be brought to the glory of his resurrection.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Regina Cœli
This replaces the Angelus in Eastertide.

O Queen of Heaven, rejoice now, Alleluia,
rejoice, for he whom meetly thou didst bear, Alleluia,
he has risen as he fortold, Alleluia!
Pray for us to the Father, Alleluia.

Rejoice and be glad Virgin Mary, Alleluia.
For the Lord has truly risen, Alleluia.

Let us pray
O God you give joy to the world
by the resurrection of your son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through the prayers of his mother, the Virgin Mary,
bring us to the happiness of eternal life,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Prayer of offering

Mary, my Immaculate Mother,
I consecrate myself to you.
I place myself completely in your hands today
with all that I am and all that I will do.
Watch over me, keep me safe
and help me to do,
willingly and lovingly,
all that is asked of me
out of love for Jesus, your Son.
Amen

Inviting the Holy Spirit

Come Spirit of God,
Come Spirit of God
Come Spirit of God
and breathe on us

We reflect and share on the Gospel.

Prayer of St Francis recited each time we enter the Church
& at the end of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

We adore you, O Lord Jesus Christ,
here and in all the churches of the world,
and we bless you,
because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Amen.

Prayer before the Icon of St Michael
This and the prayer of St Anthony that follows are prayers of deliverance from all evil

Holy Michael, the Archangel,
defend us in the day of battle;
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust down to hell Satan and all wicked spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen

St Francis’ Salutation
to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Hail, holy Lady,
most holy Queen,
Mary, Mother of God,
Virgin made Church;
chosen by the most holy Father in heaven,
consecrated by him,
with his most holy beloved Son
and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.
On you descended and in you still remains
all the fulness of grace
and every good.
Hail, his Palace.
Hail, his Tabernacle.
Hail, his Robe.
Hail, his Handmaid.
Hail, his Mother.

Evening

Prayer of Reconciliation
At the end of the day, as a preparation for singing the Church’s prayer of Compline we examine our conciences and make our peace with God and with each other.

I confess to almighty God,
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have sinned through my own fault,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done,
and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessed Mary, every Virgin,
all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

May Almighty God have mercy on us,
forgive us our sins
and bring us to everlasting life. Amen

Before going to rest

Blessed be the Holy Trinity
for all the graces conferred on us this day.

We pray to our Guardian angel to watch over our sleep and wake us faithfully at the rising bell!

Go out to meet Christ the Lord

Before Matins

The Mercy Chaplet
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
At the words that follow, up to and including the Virgin Mary, all bow.
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father,
I offer you
the body and blood,
soul and divinity
of your dearly beloved Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and for those of the whole world.

For the sake of his sorrowful passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
ten times
Holy God,
Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
